    Girls Basketball

    Stuart Middle School Girls’ Basketball 2020 - 2021

    My coaching philosophy starts with being a student-athlete.  Many of the same attributes that make a good student, make a good team player.  Players who exhibit focus, hard work, and dedication in practice will be on the court.

    Practice Times/Games:

    The girls’ basketball team will practice on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday (except early release or no school) from 4:00 to 5:30 in Jaguar Gymnasium.  I will let students know as soon as possible if a practice must be canceled or added, but otherwise we will follow the prior mentioned days and times.  It is an expectation to be at practice if students want to play in the game, but I cannot guarantee all students playing time. 

     Expectations:

    • Attend practice on a consistent basis
    • Participate in practice
    • Practice good sportsmanship in practice and at games 

    Requirements:

    • Student must have a 2.0 GPA for the second nine weeks to be on the team
    • Student must exhibit appropriate behavior in class and in practice to remain on the team
