Free Breakfast and Lunch
The Martin County School District began offering free breakfasts and lunches to all students aged 18 and under on September 16. This program is offered through the USDA and is not based on the income of parents/guardians. Students who attend school in person will receive free meals in their school cafeterias. Children aged 18 and under who do not attend a school site will pick up meals for the week every Tuesday between 3-5 p.m. at J.D. Parker Elementary, Port Salerno Elementary or Warfield Elementary. The meal order form is available in English and Spanish on our website.

Dress Code Appropriate Clothing Needed
SMS is looking for dress code appropriate clothing donations to support our students. All donations can be left at the front desk.
I am a teacher because for the kids who remember me with a smile or even “Gosh Ms. Johnson was tough” or my favorite “You’re the teacher I didn’t ask for but know I needed” in their heart, to them, I changed a small part of their world. It is my hope that they will someday pay it forward, that they will also, in turn, help someone else. I will never be known as one of the greats – like a Nelson Mandela or Mahammad Ali, but I work hard to change the world.
