I am a teacher because for the kids who remember me with a smile or even “Gosh Ms. Johnson was tough” or my favorite “You’re the teacher I didn’t ask for but know I needed” in their heart, to them, I changed a small part of their world. It is my hope that they will someday pay it forward, that they will also, in turn, help someone else. I will never be known as one of the greats – like a Nelson Mandela or Mahammad Ali, but I work hard to change the world.

Martin County Schools Earn "School of Excellence" Designation
The School District and the Martin County Tax Office partnered for the Kids Tag Art (KTA) program by which grade 5 art students design vanity plates and fobs for purchase. All proceeds are returned to the schools. Given the pandemic shortened the opportunity to purchase items last school year, we have reopened the portal for this year's grade 6 students. Here is more information. This year's grade 5 students artwork will be available for purchase in March 2021.
