  • Bulldog Nation,

I am honored and humbled by the opportunity to serve along with you as the Principal of South Fork.  My door is open and I can’t wait to share time with you.

    Sincerely, Jay Blavatt

South Fork High School is a comprehensive high school set on 157 acres in southwestern Martin County, FL. SFHS was authorized as an IB school offering the full diploma in 1996. Serving a diverse population, the school had its first graduating class in 1984. Our students’ socioeconomic range stretches from one of the wealthiest areas of our nation to economically disadvantaged, with every intervening level represented in the school. Major employers in the County are the local not-for-profit hospital and the school system. Neighboring Palm Beach County houses several subsidiaries of United Technologies and many parents commute to work in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. The western zone is agricultural and many of our families work in that industry.

SFHS was one of only four schools in Florida named a Fred E. Rozelle State Sportsmanship Award Winner by the FHSAA for the 2016 school year. SFHS athletic teams have placed four consecutive years in the top ten of the FHSAA’s Academic Team Champions Program, which recognizes programs with top GPAs. Since opening, our teams have earned 64 District Championships, 7 Regional Championships, and 7 Individual State titles, as well as two Team State Championship and one Academic Team State Championship. Fall Sports: Boys’ and Girls’ Bowling; Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country, Football, Football Cheerleading, Boys’ and Girls’ Golf; Boys’ and Girls’ Swimming and Diving; Girls’ Volleyball. Winter Sports: Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball, Basketball Cheerleading; Boys’ and Girls’ Soccer, Girls’ Weightlifting, Wrestling. Spring Sports: Baseball, Softball, Boys’ and Girls’ Lacrosse, Girls’ Flag Football, Boys’ and Girls’ Tennis, Boys’ and Girls’ Track
