  • JBHS Registration for 8th graders

    Good afternoon 8th grade parents.

This message is for all students who will be attending Jensen Beach High School next year.  Due to school closures, our students were not able to meet with guidance counselors to register for 9th grade courses.  Students will need to log into FOCUS to enter their course requests by April 6th at 3:30 p.m..  I highly suggest that you do this with your child as it is very important that you are a part of their high school decisions.  You can find the instructions for how to complete this task on our website and the Jensen Beach High School website as well.  If you have questions, please email the guidance counselors at JBHS.  Their contact information is on their website.

As I receive more information about the 8th grade class, I will let you know.  Thank you and have a good day.

Course requests must be entered via FOCUS.  Here is the link to the JBHS website with all the information.

  • Youth Driven Cinema

The Environmental Studies Center and Inwater Research Group (IRG) proudly present the 6th annual Youth Driven Cinema, a K-12 Environmental Film Festival, held at The Lyric Theatre May 1st at 6:30pm (doors open at 6:00pm). Admission is free!

The mission of Youth Driven Cinema is to engage the youth of Martin County by fostering community involvement and environmental awareness through the arts and sciences. Students not only enter their films, but also help plan the film festival. The general public is encouraged to attend this free event thanks to a generous anonymous donor.  Donations will be accepted to support The Environmental Studies Center programs available to all K-12 Martin County students.

Students are welcome to enter a variety of film styles ranging from animation to short documentaries. This year’s theme is “Choose to Refuse: Saying NO to Single-use Items.”  The top five short films in four categories will be presented at the film festival. Prizes will be awarded to the top three films in each category.  For more information and submission, please visit www.inwater.org/YDC.

Entries must be received by March 23rd.
