About Me

Hello! My name is Amie Glancy. I was born and raised in West Virginia, though I moved to Florida in July of 2017. I currently live in Stuart. I enjoy spending time with my family here in Florida and in West Virginia. My hobbies include photography, shopping and collecting shoes and handbags! I also enjoy watching my children play sports, softball and baseball.

I have been an educator for nearly 13 years. I received my Bachelor's in Education in Social Studies from West Virginia State University and Master’s in Education with an emphasis on Math from Marshall University. I also have a degree in School Superintendency, Leadership and Principalship.   Before moving to the Sunshine State, I worked as a high school administrator, overseeing Curriculum and Instruction. Before I was an administrator, I taught 9th grade Algebra…(just between us, the classroom is what I really love!)

My goal for the school year is to help each one of my students succeed and for them to gain the skills needed to move on to high school, whether that be learning through History or how to be a successful students across the board. This is an exciting time for my students, but I also realize it is a nerve racking time for parents - wanting to know if your child has all of the necessary skills to be successful as they move on to the high school.

I strongly believe that parental involvement is extremely important to be successful in the classroom. Thank you in advance for taking the time to browse through my webpage.  I look forward to getting to know each of my students. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns. My email address is glancya@martin.k12.fl.us
