This Week, We're Learning About...
Degrees and Certifications:
Born and raised in Stuart, Ms. Peak has always loved science (and science fiction). She achieved a Bachelor of Science degree from Indian River State College and has been working as a teacher in Martin County for the last four years. When she’s not in the classroom, Ms. Peak enjoys playing on a local co-ed (slow pitch) softball team, sewing and of course anything Star Trek.
How to Read Focus
First, please understand that every teacher is going to do things a little differently. So the key below is only for Ms. Peak's gradebook.
X - the student has been excused from this assignment, usually because of absence.
Z - the student has been given multiple opportunities to complete, but has neglected all of them. Make up still available.
40 - the student scored less than this on the assignment. They are welcome to make it up at any time. See "Don't Like My Grade Box".
Low scores or group projects; please note that low scores will have a note on the grade indicating why the student received a low score.
Any other score is the score the student received. If there is a question or concern, please contact me.
Don't Like Your Grade?
Students, don't like a grade you got on an assignment?
Check out the "I Don't Like My Grade" Box in Ms. Peak's classroom (it's under the Tower).
Inside you'll find short assignments that can help rescue a low grade.
Complete and turn into the Late/Missing Work bin!!
