Our Literacy Coach and Media Specialist put these lists together to help guide parents in book selection with their children over the summer and throughout the year. The number one activity to engage in to reduce summer reading loss is reading. Reading to your child is always an option! Other ways to keep reading in your life over the summer are to read with your child and by your child. Reading with your child could look like you supporting when needed, or taking turns to read pages, paragraphs or chapters. Reading by your child may include your child reading with you nearby, or both of you reading your own books at the same time. No matter what you choose, keep reading!
