JBHS Engineering Academy Students demo day at St. Lucie Medical's Robotics Surgery Center

Members of the Engineering Academy and VEX Robotics Team from JBHS were recently invited to St. Lucie Medical's Robotics Surgery Center for hands-on demonstrations of their DaVinci and Mako Robotics Surgery Machines. Our thanks to the staff at St. Lucie Medical Center for providing such a wonderful, fun, and engaging opportunity. Students had hand on opportunities to "make cuts" in bone (no blade attached) in a mock knee replacement and "perform surgery" to remove rubberbands, wing nuts, and untie knots to open a sealed box using the DaVinci Robot.
