The Association of School Business Officials International (ASBO) awarded the Martin County School District’s Finance Department its Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting in August. Presented to school districts that exhibit transparency in the preparation and issuance of their Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports, the award reflects the District’s commitment to clarity and high-quality financial reporting.
“Our Finance Department appreciates the critical importance of fiscal accountability,” Superintendent Gaylord said. “All of our financial publications – from the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report to the budget documents presented to the School Board last evening – reflect the District’s unwavering commitment to transparent, detailed reporting practices.”
