Martin County Schools Earn "School of Excellence" Designation
Six Martin County Schools Earn “School of Excellence” Designation
Six Martin County schools have once again been designated Schools of Excellence by the Florida Department of Education. This designation is awarded to schools that have maintained an “A” or “B” grade and performed in the top 80th percentile or higher of elementary, middle or high schools in the state for at least two of the last three school years.
Bessey Creek Elementary, Citrus Grove Elementary, Palm City Elementary, Hidden Oaks Middle, Jensen Beach High and Clark Advanced Learning Center were awarded this designation for the 2018-2019 school year.
“I am so proud of our schools that have earned the Schools of Excellence designation,” said Superintendent Laurie J. Gaylord. “Our mission of educating all students for success is the foundation for everything we do in the Martin County School District. This statewide recognition indicates that we are moving in the right direction in our work to improve outcomes for all children.”
