District Launches 2020 Employee Giving Campaign

Dear Team MCSD,

Since 1995, the Martin County School District and United Way of Martin County have enjoyed an impactful partnership in support of initiatives and programs that benefit students, schools and the community. United Way addresses a broad spectrum of needs to improve education, financial stability, and health for all Martin County residents.

In 2019, United Way invested $1.87 million throughout our community. This year, the organization is funding 44 initiatives that have been proven to positively impact lives, including our own K-8 Academic Success program, Reading on Wheels,  Head Start, Botvin LifeSkills training, CHARACTER COUNTS!, the United Way Holiday Project (White Doves) and the Tools for Success program, which provides needed supplies to students in many of our schools.

We are #ALLINMartin and United Way is a tremendous partner in that effort. Now in its 25th year, the District’s United Way Employee Giving Campaign helps support our community as a whole, and each of you can be a part of it.

Contributions to United Way can be made through payroll deduction or one-time contribution by visiting www.unitedwaymartin.org/mcsd, by texting Caring Schools to 313131,  or by submitting a paper pledge form to Amber Warren in the Human Resources Department.

Our campaign will begin October 15 and run through November 30, 2020

For those of you who have pledged in the past, please know that these pledges do not roll over year to year. If you wish to continue supporting United Way of Martin County, please renew your pledge for the 2020-2021 campaign. Payroll deductions will begin in January for pledges received prior to December 4.

I invite each of you to join me in participating. It is local, it is efficient, and it is a great way to go #ALLINMartin. Together, we can all Live United!

Sincerely,

Laurie J. Gaylord
