BESSEY CREEK ELEMENTARY IS A CAMBRIDGE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL
Our students work through global challenges...
...to help them learn how the challenges impact their families, their communities, and the world at large.
In doing so, students grow their Cambridge Learner Attributes - Confidence, Responsibility, Innovation, Engagement, and Reflection, and build the skills they will use to become positive, connected, life-long learners.
Global Perspectives is a class on the Related Arts Wheel, enjoyed by ALL students in the School!
In grades K through 2, the focus is on a challenges' impact on family and community, while working on verbal communication and group dynamics.
In grades 3 and 4, the world focus is the strongest; research skills are at the forefront for students with hands-on learning and projects, and a sense of civic duty and pride drives many of the decisions our students make for their research projects.
Our 5th grade students have two public presentation nights to showcase projects, one in each semester. There is also a stole ceremony, full of pomp and circumstance!
