SAC: School Advisory Council
What is SAC?
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a team of stakeholders representing various segments of our community: parents, teachers, students, administrators, support staff, business/industry people, and other interested community members. The purpose of SAC is to assist in the creation and evaluation of the school improvement plan and to assist the principal with the annual school budget.
Who can join SAC?
All are welcome to attend SAC meetings, but we need members so that we can vote on important decisions about our school. Meetings are held less than once a month and are usually about an hour (sometimes less!). The CGE School Advisory Council (SAC) currently has membership vacancies, and we need balanced representation of CGE's stakeholders. That's you! Reach out to Ms. Wingate at wingatl@martinschools.org for more information.
What does SAC do?
The School Advisory Council (SAC) is a school-based group intended to represent the school and support the school’s continuous improvement.
What is the role of the SAC?
The SAC is responsible for final decision-making at the school relating to the annual implementation of a schoolwide improvement plan (SIP).
2024-2025 SAC Chair: Larana Wingate
