We are so excited to have you join us at the Environmental Studies Center (ESC)! Your support makes our programs shine π and helps students have the very best hands-on learning adventure. π π±
π At-a-Glance
π©βπ©βπ§ Elementary limit: Up to 2 chaperones per class
β Requirement: Must be a Level 2 volunteer (fingerprinted & approved)
π΅ Phones & chatting: Please keep phones away & avoid side conversations during lessonsβour students need your full attention π‘
π Special cases: For medical needs or private schools, chaperone numbers may vary due to transportation π

π Arrival & Check-In
MCSD Chaperones β‘οΈ Please check in at your childβs school first in the morning βοΈ.
You will ride the bus with the class π so students and staff arrive together.Private/Out-of-District Chaperones β‘οΈ Come directly to the ESC Front Office π« to be Raptored in for safety π‘οΈ.

β Do not discipline students (let the teacher/ESC staff handle it).
β No siblings, extra guests, or unapproved visitors.
β No wandering from groups.
β No personal social media posts of students-unless advised by school administration or teacher.

A: Only if approved by the teacher & in line with district policy.
Q: What if it rains? π§οΈ
A: Programs run rain or shineβdress accordingly!
Q: Can I drive separately? π
A: MCSD chaperones should ride the bus.
