Students should not be on campus other than the hours mentioned without written permission from parent and approval of the Principal.  Forms are available in the front office for such conditions.  Emergency situations should be addressed to administrator for response.  Students are supervised in the bus loop until all busses leave.  Students are supervised in the car loop until all students have indicated that their ride is on the way or they are invited to the office to wait for a parent.  In the event of inclement weather, students remain with supervision in the front office or cafeteria.

PARENTS WHO DELIVER AND PICK UP YOUR STUDENT(S) IN PRIVATE VEHICLES:
Student drop-off begins at 9:10 am in the car loop. When bringing your student to school, we ask that you enter the campus from the car loop entrance (near the cafetaria) and proceed in a single lane around the “Car Loop”.  In order to maintain efficient traffic flow we ask that students leave your vehicle at a point closest to the entry gate or the preceeding vehicle. When the car in front of you has come to a full stop, all students may exit. Thank you in advance for adhering to the single file 10 MPH, and NO CELL PHONE USAGE.  These rules help us keep all students and staff safe at both the beginning and end of our school day.

WALKERS AND BIKE RIDERS/SKATEBOARDS/LONGBOARDS/PENNYBOARDS:
Students may enter the campus from two locations. Students traveling to IMS from the West end of the campus (Booker Park area) will enter from the entry gate near the front office. Students traveling to IMS from the East end of the campus will enter by way of the sidewalk entry leading to the bike area and car loop. Motorized or electric means of student operated transportation (such as motor scooters, electric skate boards, etc.) are not permitted on campus. Students who ride bicycles to school are required by law to wear bike helmets. Bike racks are available for storage of bikes during the school day. Students may store other means of transportation (penny boards, long boards, etc) in designated areas of the campus. Use of personal transportation devices on campus grounds is prohibited. Students must exit the entry gate before using them. Bicycles and skateboards should not be left on campus overnight. The school is not responsible for lost, stolen or damaged bikes, including helmets and locks.

STUDENTS WHO ARE TARDY:
Students are expected to arrive at school on time. All students are required to be at their first period class and prepared to work when the bell rings. Students who arrive after 9:10 report directly to their first period class. First period teachers will record the tardy in FOCUS. Parents must sign in students for an excused tardy.  When a student is tardy to school the 4th, 5th and 6th time in a quarter they will receive a lunch detention.
