Brass-mouthpiece and valve oil
Woodwinds-2-3 good reeds and your cleaning swab
Percussion-stick bag with the appropriate sticks and mallets

A computer or smart device (for recording practice minutes or a playing exam)

WOODWIND SUPPLIES
Flute: Instrument swab, polishing cloth.
Oboe: Instrument swab, polishing cloth, Medium oboe reed. Marlin Lesher is the preferred brand for oboe reeds, but Jones is acceptable for beginners.
*It is very important that the student is extremely careful with the tip of the reed as it is prone to breakage.Bassoon: Instrument swab, polishing cloth, Medium bassoon reed. Marlin Lesher is the preferred brand for bassoon reeds, but Jones is acceptable for beginners.
*It is very important that the student is extremely careful with the tip of the reed as it is prone to breakage.Clarinet: Instrument swab, polishing cloth, 2.5 Bb Clarinet Reeds (Vandoren brand is best, but Rico is fine for beginners). Students should move to size 3 after first year of playing. Clarinet cleaning swab, polishing cloth, cleaning brushes. Do not use oil on woodwind instruments. Leave that for the maintenance professionals at the store.

Trumpet: 7c (Bach is the best brand), valve oil, polishing cloth, cleaning brushes
F Horn : Bach 11, Yamaha 30C4, or Holton Farkas MC, rotary oil, polishing cloth, cleaning brushes
Trombone: Slide cream, polishing cloth, cleaning brushes
Baritone/Euphonium: 6 ½ AL (small shank) (Bach is the best brand), valve oil, polishing cloth, cleaning brushes. Some Euphoniums require a large shank mouthpiece.
Tuba: Bach Tuba/Sousaphone Mouthpiece 24AW or Conn Helleberg 7B Series Tuba Mouthpiece, valve oil, polishing cloth, cleaning brushes
