Ms. Selvidge joins the Martin County School District from Broward County Public Schools (Fort Lauderdale, Florida), where she most recently served as interim principal at Flanagan High School. She has many years of experience in school improvement planning, cultivating stakeholder relationships, positive behavioral interventions and supports, recruitment/hiring, professional development, ESE and ESOL oversight, continuous improvement and curriculum integrations.

I look forward to building upon the foundation for continuous success established by Principal Fabrizio, the faculty and staff, and all the generations of supportive families and community members who comprise Tiger Nation.  I look forward to meeting and learning from all as we collectively pursue our school’s mission of ensuring every student graduates college and career capable.”

Ms. Selvidge earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Florida, and her Educational Leadership certification from the University of South Florida.

Josh brings with him an extensive coaching background, served as a career specialist and CTE team leader for several years, and has a passion for Martin County High School.

 Josh was most recently recognized as MCHS 2021-2022 CTE Teacher of the Year! He has been at MCHS since 2002; he began teaching Drafting in 2004. During his time here at MCHS,  Josh has built positive relationships with his students and impacted thousands of Drafting students that have walked through the door of his classroom. Many have gone off to have very successful careers using the skills they learned in Josh's classroom. Josh's impact reaches far beyond the classroom walls and out to the fields and we are privileged to have him support our students and teachers in a new capacity. 

 Moberg has been a coach for the last 24 years; most notably he has been a longtime girls’ soccer coach, leading the team to multiple district championships as well as Martin County High Schools only appearance in the Girls’ Soccer Final Four. Josh also coached Track, Cross Country, Swimming, Diving, and Baseball over the years.

Ms. Barrett-Baxter is returning to Tiger Nation after serving as the Assistant Principal of Student Services at Murray Middle School. Before that, she was the Dean of Students at MCHS since 2020, and also held roles as the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) Site Coordinator and the PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention Systems) team leader.

Ms. Barrett-Baxter holds an undergraduate degree in Education and Liberal Arts Studies from Miami Dade Community College and a degree in English and Education from Florida Memorial University. She earned her graduate degree in English and Educational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University. She is currently working towards her doctorate in Educational Leadership through Valdosta State University.

Mrs. Cizek is an experienced educator in Florida and Washington state. She has had the privilege of administering at Elementary, Middle and High Schools.  Most recently Mrs. Cizek was an Assistant Principal at South Fork High School.  She has an undergraduate degree in Public Administration from San Diego State University, a Masters in Teaching from Northwest University and completed the Principal Certification program at Seattle Pacific University. Mrs. Cizek also obtained her certification from the National Institute for School leadership, NISL. 

 Mrs. Cizek’s goal is to ensure all students have a clear pathway to life beyond high school, while allowing them opportunities to maximize their experiences on our campus.  She is a proud to be a MCHS Tiger!

Dr. Timothy Aitken brings a wealth of leadership experience and a deep commitment to student achievement and school transformation.

Dr. Aitken has dedicated more than two decades to education, serving in a variety of leadership roles that have positively impacted schools and students. His experience includes serving as Principal of South Fork High School, where he implemented innovative professional learning systems and fostered a culture of collaboration among staff. Prior to that, he led Dr. David L. Anderson Middle School to significant academic gains, transforming it from a D-rated school to an A-rated institution and earning a Governor’s Award for student achievement.

Throughout his career, Dr. Aitken has been instrumental in developing systems to support student success, cultivating strong relationships with educators, and driving continuous school improvement efforts. His leadership in the School Improvement department has played a vital role in strengthening instructional practices across the district.

Dr. Aitken holds a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education, a Master of Education in Educational Leadership & Policy from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Wesley College. He is a graduate of the National Institute of School Leadership (NISL) and has presented at local and national conferences on topics such as instructional practices and school achievement strategies.

Dr. Aitken will focus on fostering student success, supporting teachers, and working collaboratively with the administrative team to uphold the tradition of excellence at Martin County High School. His vast experience and passion for education is invaluable in continuing to enhance the learning environment for students and staff alike.
