OPUS is Martin County High School's top. OPUS is one of four choirs that comprises the choral department at Martin County High School.
In 2016, OPUS traveled to Honolulu, Hawai'i and immersed themselves in the Hawaiian culture and performed for the 75th commemoration of the Pearl Harbor Bombings. This spring, OPUS returns to national competition in Anaheim, CA to proudly represent Martin County High School at the Heritage Festival.
During the Spring 2016 State Music Performance Assessment, OPUS 2016 Chorale and OPUS 2016 Ladies received the designation of "Choir of Distinction," one of only 18 schools in the state to receive this top honor. OPUS celebrates a wonderful, 40 year history of highest ratings at state, regional, national, and international festivals.
OPUS is comprised of students grades 9-12 who demonstrate the highest level of musicianship, vocal technique, and dedication to passionate music-making.
