School Advisory Council (SAC)
Martin County High School’s School Advisory Council (SAC) cordially invites you to become a candidate for membership to our organization.
Elected members represent parents, students, community/business members, and school staff who perform a variety of tasks related to school governance.
The primary objective of SAC is to assist in the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of the School Improvement Plan (SIP).
Among many other responsibilities, SAC advises the school on budgetary allocations and disbursements of funds as allocated by the state legislature – money which is primary used for implementing the SIP.
Generally, the committee meets the second Monday of every month at 5:00 pm in the Florida Room/Library Media Center, which is located in Building 3 accessible from the front parking lot. Meetings are open to the public (members or non-members). Family members often offer insights on how effective our school is in creating a positive learning environment and how well their children are performing. Parents’ participation/involvement is very important to our school. If you are interested, please contact the SAC Chairperson at (772) 219-1800.
On behalf of the entire MCHS Tiger family, we thank you for your interest and participation in our organization!
