On Friday, August 25, 2023, several Martin County School District Leaders, including Superintendent Michael Maine and School Board Members Jennifer Russell (District 3) and Amy Pritchett (District 4), attended a Transportation Department celebration.
The celebration was two-fold: it was the kickoff to Hot Dog Fridays, an event Transportation Director Tom Hardin likes to host on the last Friday of the month for his staff; but it was also to celebrate an amazing accomplishment for an outstanding employee!
John Haering, a bus operator for MCSD for eight years, exhibited perfect attendance for the last two years. As part of his celebration, John learned he would be driving one of the ten brand-new buses the District recently acquired.
