Schools of Excellence 24-25

The Martin County School District is proud to announce that five MCSD-operated schools have earned the esteemed designation of a “School of Excellence” for the 2024-2025 school year.

Section 1003.631(1)(a), Florida Statutes, requires the State Board of Education to designate a school as a School of Excellence if the school’s percentage of possible points earned in its school grade calculation is in the 80th percentile or higher for schools comprised of the same grade groupings (elementary, middle, high and combination) for at least two of the last three school years.

The Schools of Excellence Program was established to provide administrative flexibility to the state's top schools, enabling the instructional and administrative staff in these schools to continue serving their communities and increasing student learning to the best of their professional ability.

In 2024-25, 744 schools were designated as a School of Excellence across 49 school districts. Of these schools, 386 maintained their designation, 304 renewed their designation, and 54 were newly designated.

Congratulations to the following Martin County schools for earning the School of Excellence designation in the 2024-2025 school year:

  • Bessey Creek Elementary School

  • Citrus Grove Elementary School

  • Jensen Beach Elementary School

  • Palm City Elementary School

  • Hidden Oaks Middle School

Earning the School of Excellence designation highlights the enduring success of these schools and the unwavering dedication of their educators. As an A-rated District, this recognition not only celebrates the accomplishments of these individual schools but also strengthens our collective pursuit of providing the highest quality education for every student.
