track meet

Elementary students from across the Martin County School District will come together for a day of athletic competition, sportsmanship, and school spirit during the 42nd Annual Russell Holloway Track Meet on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at Martin County High School’s Napoli Orthodontics Stadium.

Due to the potential for inclement weather, the start time for the meet has been adjusted based on information provided by the Martin County Emergency Operations Center and the National Weather Service in Melbourne, Florida. Events will now begin at 10:15 a.m., with gates opening at 8:30 a.m. Admission is free for all spectators. All participants and spectators should use the entrance off of Willoughby Blvd on the west side of campus.

The annual event will welcome third, fourth, and fifth-grade students from all District elementary schools, providing young athletes the opportunity to showcase their skills in a variety of track and field events. Students will compete by grade level in events such as the 75-yard dash, 200-meter run, relay races, running long jump, and softball throw. Families can follow live results of the track meet here: www.mogotiming.com

Field and running events will take place throughout the late morning and early afternoon. Each student-athlete may compete in up to three events, with races run as finals and placements determined by recorded times.

Team trophies will be awarded to top-performing schools, along with the presentation of the Cheryl Hubbard Sportsmanship Trophy, which recognizes outstanding sportsmanship and character. Individual ribbons will be sent to participating schools.

Citrus Grove Elementary School enters the 2026 meet as the defending overall champion following a strong performance at last year’s competition.

The District extends its appreciation to this year’s event sponsors, John Bolen – Treasure Coast Driving School and Dr. Vince Napoli – Napoli Orthodontics, as well as the volunteers, coaches, and staff members who help make the Russell Holloway Track Meet a memorable experience for students.

Now in its 42nd year, the Russell Holloway Track Meet remains a proud District tradition that celebrates elementary athletics while promoting teamwork, perseverance, and friendly competition among students.
