Odyssey team going to states

Felix A. Williams Elementary Odyssey of the Mind Team Advances to State Competition After Earning Second Place

Felix A. Williams Elementary School is proud to announce that its Odyssey of the Mind team earned Second Place in Problem 4, Division 1 at the Palms Regional tournament, securing a spot in the Florida Odyssey of the Mind State Tournament.

Odyssey of the Mind is an international creative problem‑solving competition that challenges students to think critically, work collaboratively, and use their imaginations to design innovative solutions. Problem 4, known for its technical and performance‑based requirements, asks teams to combine engineering, storytelling, and teamwork into a dynamic presentation.

The FAWE team impressed judges with their creativity, teamwork, and thoughtful design, demonstrating exceptional skill in both the technical and artistic aspects of their solution. This achievement reflects the students’ months of dedication, practice, and collaboration.

“We are incredibly proud of our students,” said the FAWE coaching team. “Odyssey of the Mind encourages creativity, resilience, and problem‑solving. These are skills we value deeply at FAWE. Advancing to the state competition is an exciting honor, and our team has truly earned it.”

The students will represent Felix A. Williams Elementary at the Florida State Tournament later this spring, where they will compete against top teams from across the state.

Felix A. Williams Elementary congratulates these talented students and wishes them the best as they continue their Odyssey journey.
