math Olympic winning team

The Felix A. Williams Elementary Math Olympic Team has once again demonstrated academic excellence, earning 1st place at the Annual Martin County School District Math Olympic Competition for the second year in a row. The team secured the district championship after advancing through a grueling four-round competition that challenged students’ mathematical reasoning, problem-solving abilities, and perseverance at every stage. This back-to-back championship reflects the team’s exceptional preparation, focus, and determination in one of the district’s premier academic competitions.

Coached by Mrs. Jole, the championship team is made up of four outstanding fifth grade students: Jeremie Bruneau, Lydia Kam, Lucas Sebuck, and Sofia Zarembo. Their achievement was celebrated by cheering friends and family members, as well as FAWE Principal Mrs. Tuthill, whose support helped make the event even more meaningful. Together, the team represented Felix A. Williams with focus, confidence, and school pride throughout each demanding round of competition.

This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the school’s strong emphasis on high-quality math instruction and the culture of academic excellence cultivated across campus. It also reflects Mrs. Jole’s expertise and dedication as a math educator and coach, as she continues to inspire students to challenge themselves and perform at the highest levels. Through rigorous preparation, collaborative problem-solving, and the endurance required to excel across four challenging rounds, the team exemplified the grit, determination, and resilience that are hallmarks of FAWE students.

Felix A. Williams Elementary is incredibly proud of these academic all-stars and the example they set for their peers. Their continued success in the Math Olympics highlights what is possible when talented students, dedicated educators, supportive families, and a strong school community work together. Congratulations to the team and Coach Jole on an extraordinary achievement and another championship victory for FAWE.
