Felix A. Williams Elementary School celebrated Dolly Parton Day with a special focus on one of Dolly’s greatest gifts to children: the love of reading.
Students and staff joined in the fun by celebrating Dolly Parton and her commitment to helping children discover the joy and lifelong benefits of books. The day brought smiles, creativity, and plenty of school spirit as our Sailfish celebrated the power of a great story.
As part of the celebration, Ms. Penny hosted a special book raffle during second grade lunch. Students had the opportunity to enter for a chance to win a book of their very own to take home and enjoy.
At FAWE, we know that every child deserves access to books and opportunities to develop a lifelong love of reading. We are proud to celebrate Dolly Parton’s message of literacy and continue encouraging our Sailfish to read, explore, and dream big!
