Hidden Oaks Middle School Student Makes History in Florida Music Education

Hidden Oaks Middle School is celebrating an extraordinary musical achievement by eighth-grade student Brian Wang, who was selected to perform with the Florida Music Education Association’s (FMEA) first-ever All-State Middle School Guitar Ensemble in January 2026.

Brian, a dedicated guitar and percussion student, earned this prestigious honor after successfully auditioning against talented middle school musicians from across the State of Florida. Auditions were held in September 2025, with selections announced at the beginning of November, making Brian’s acceptance a significant and highly competitive accomplishment.

The inaugural All-State Middle School Guitar Ensemble marks a historic milestone in Florida’s music education community, and Brian’s selection places him among the top young guitarists in the state. His performance at the All-State level reflects not only his technical skill and musicianship, but also his commitment to excellence both inside and outside of the classroom.

Brian proudly represented Hidden Oaks Middle School and the Martin County School District at the highest level, serving as a role model for fellow students and young musicians throughout the community.

This achievement would not be possible without the guidance and leadership of Mr. Lukkari, Hidden Oaks Middle School Band Director. His dedication to musical excellence and student growth continues to open doors for scholars like Brian to showcase their talents on state and regional stages.

Hidden Oaks Middle School extends its congratulations to Brian Wang on this remarkable accomplishment and commends Mr. Lukkari for leading the way in fostering outstanding musical opportunities for students. The school community is incredibly proud of Brian and looks forward to his continued success.
