Superintendent Michael Maine will recommend Ms. Stephanie DeVoe for appointment as the new assistant principal of Hobe Sound Elementary School during an upcoming meeting of the Martin County School Board.
Mrs. DeVoe has been a cornerstone of the Hobe Sound Elementary community for over 15 years, serving in a variety of roles including Science Coach, STEM Coordinator, and 5th Grade Lead Teacher. Her dedication to student success and innovative instruction have had a lasting impact on the Hobe Sound Elementary campus.
During her tenure, Ms. DeVoe has led numerous school improvement initiatives from designing hands-on science labs and boosting proficiency rates to organizing schoolwide STEM events and mentoring teachers. Most recently, her work as a science interventionist helped HSE achieve the #1 ranking among Title I schools in science proficiency, a 9% increase over the previous year.
Known for her energy, commitment, and deep ties to the school community, Ms. DeVoe brings a wealth of instructional leadership experience to her new position. She has stepped up to support the school in countless ways over the years, including serving in temporary roles as an ESE support facilitator and third-grade teacher. Her versatility and willingness to lead wherever needed make her a perfect fit for this next chapter.
As assistant principal, Ms. DeVoe will continue to champion high-quality teaching, student growth, and strong family partnerships. We are thrilled to have her officially join our administrative team in this capacity and look forward to an exciting new year under her leadership.
