Tomorrow marks the beginning of Quarter 2, and we are excited for another great chapter in our school year!
Across our campus, students are diving into their next reading unit focused on informational and nonfiction texts. Students will learn how to use important text features such as:

By working with multiple sources of information within a text, students are strengthening their comprehension skills and becoming thoughtful readers and learners.

Early release days provide valuable time for our teachers to participate in collaborative planning and professional learning that supports student achievement.
🎯 Growing Through AVID
During Wednesday's professional learning, teachers will work alongside district coaches and teacher leaders to strengthen our implementation of AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination).
This year's focus is Organization, helping students develop habits and systems that support success in every classroom. Teachers will collaborate, share best practices, and strengthen strategies that benefit all learners.

Families will soon have expanded access within FOCUS, including:
