Each year, the Martin County School District pauses to recognize the remarkable generosity of our volunteers and business partners—individuals whose time, talent, and dedication help shape meaningful experiences for students across our schools.
During the 2025–2026 Volunteer and Community Partner Awards Ceremony, held on April 23, 2026, the District celebrated the extraordinary impact of more than 4,500 active volunteers and partners who together contributed over 71,000 hours of service this year alone. Their reach across our classrooms and campuses is truly remarkable and reflects a community that believes deeply in education and in our children.
Every school nominated an outstanding student volunteer, adult volunteer, senior volunteer, and community partner for recognition, highlighting the many ways volunteers support learning and student success.
A special congratulations to the Overall District Volunteers of the Year:
Jon‑Michael Tillett — District Student Volunteer of the Year
Amy Friedrichs — District Adult Volunteer of the Year
Joe Flanagan — District Senior Volunteer of the Year
“These volunteers and partners exemplify the compassion, generosity, and commitment that define the Martin County School District,” said Superintendent Michael Maine. “Their service makes a lasting difference for our students and schools.”
From students and parents to retirees and local businesses, volunteers play a vital role in strengthening our school communities and shaping brighter futures.
