Every year, the FRLAEF - Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association Educational Federation awards 40 $2,000 scholarships to high school seniors in Florida who plan to pursue a career and post-secondary education in a hospitality industry related course of study. This year, MCHS Culinary had 7 seniors apply and ALL 7 have been awarded the scholarship.
There are over 200 ProStart programs in the state of Florida and MCHS Culinary is home to 7 of the 40 recipients of this scholarship!
The students will be recognized during the FRLA Salute to Excellence Awards at the Rosen Plaza Hotel in Orlando on March 5 during our ProStart competition trip.
