Superintendent Michael Maine will recommend Danielle Farrell as the new assistant principal of Martin County High School during an upcoming meeting of the Martin County School Board.

A dynamic and experienced leader in public education, Ms. Farrell brings more than two decades of instructional and administrative experience, along with a passion for empowering educators and students to thrive.

Since joining the Martin County School District in 2013, Ms. Farrell has served as a teacher in grades 3-5 at both SeaWind Elementary School and Pinewood Elementary School. She then moved to the School District Office to serve as an instructional coach before becoming the coordinator of innovation & choice in 2018, leading numerous districtwide initiatives aimed at expanding academic opportunity and improving student achievement. She directed the implementation of the AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) system across 11 schools, guiding professional learning, instructional coaching, and systems-level planning to ensure all students graduate college, career, and life ready.

In addition to her leadership in instructional innovation, Ms. Farrell co-led community engagement efforts, managed federal and state grants, and designed professional development for more than 1,200 employees. She also launched and sustained the district’s MartinMentor program, supporting new educators through collaborative coaching and mentorship in 24 schools.

Ms. Farrell holds a Master of Science in Education from the American College of Education, an MBA from Georgian Court College, and a bachelor’s degree in business administration. She is certified in Educational Leadership and holds endorsements in Reading, ESOL, and multiple instructional leadership programs. She is also a certified Thinking Maps Trainer, AVID District Director, and a graduate of the Martin County Aspiring Leaders Academy.

As she begins this new chapter at Martin County High School, Ms. Farrell looks forward to deepening her impact by supporting teachers, students, and families in a school community known for excellence. Her focus on innovation and building strong school culture will help further the school’s mission of academic achievement and holistic student success.
