Your final year is right around the corner, and summer is the perfect time to get ahead. Here’s your Summer To-Do Checklist to make sure you’re college-ready and senior-year strong! 💪📚
✅ 1. Build a Strong Schedule
Colleges want to see more than the minimum — challenge yourself! If you're planning to take dual enrollment, make sure you're already registered.
✅ 2. College Research & Visits
Start exploring potential colleges! 🏫 Whether in person or virtual, schedule those college visits and get a feel for your future.
✅ 3. Test Prep Time
Haven’t hit your target score yet? Register now for the SAT, ACT, or CLT and give yourself time to prep!
✅ 4. Resume & Extracurriculars
Update your resume with everything you’ve been involved in. Stay active in your extracurriculars—they matter!
✅ 5. Volunteer/Work Hours
If you’ve done any volunteering or working that’s not in Focus, submit those hours before the new school year starts!
✅ 6. Create Your Common App Account
Get a head start! You can fill out the demographic sections now, even before applications open.
✅ 7. Start Your College Essay
The Common App prompts are live! Pick one and start writing. Your future self will thank you. ✍️
