The Martin County School District is excited to release the ninth episode of All In Martin, our monthly podcast for families, staff, and community members!
This month’s episode, airing August 15, spotlights the work that happens before students return for the first day of school.
Director of Facilities Mark Sechrist shares how his team spent the summer making sure classrooms and campuses were ready to welcome students. From small but important details like fresh paint and pressure washing to major renovations, the Facilities and Maintenance teams’ efforts touched nearly every school in the District.
Highlights from this summer’s projects include the cafeteria and gym rebuild at Stuart Middle School, a pool renovation and new bleachers at the football stadium at Martin County High School, and a media center renovation at Felix A. Williams Elementary School.
Mark also gives listeners a preview of what’s on the horizon for the 2025–2026 school year, including the finishing touches on the Stuart Middle School gym rebuild and large rebuild projects at Murray Middle School and Warfield Elementary School.
