MCSD Present for Success!

📅 September is Attendance Awareness Month: MCSD Launches “Present for Success” Contest!

As the 2025–2026 school year kicks off, MCHS is proud to join the nationwide celebration of Attendance Awareness Month, a campaign that shines a spotlight on the powerful link between consistent school attendance and academic achievement.

Every day matters—and being present and on time is one of the simplest yet most impactful ways students can set themselves up for success. Whether it’s mastering new concepts, participating in group projects, or building relationships with teachers and peers, showing up is the first step toward reaching your goals.

To energize this important message, our Student Services and Federal Programs Departments are teaming up to launch the “Present for Success” Contest, a school-wide initiative designed to promote and reward excellent attendance.

🎯 What’s the Goal?
Encourage students to make attendance a priority and celebrate those who consistently show up ready to learn.

From September 2 to October 10, 2025, MCSD is rallying all schools to join the race to 90% or higher student attendance in the Present for Success! competition!

📅 How It Works:

  • All MCSD schools are encouraged to boost daily attendance.

  • Any school that reaches or exceeds 90% average attendance during the competition window will be entered into a drawing for a prestigious prize.

🏆 The Reward:

  • One rotating trophy will be awarded to a winning school in each category:

    • Elementary

    • Middle

    • High School

  • Winners will earn the honor of displaying the trophy at their school with pride, showcasing their commitment to student engagement and success.

Let’s show up, Tigers! MCHS is in the running—let’s make every day count and bring that trophy home! 💙💛
