Voices of Democracy Essay Competition

Martin County High School is proud to partner with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Stuart Post 4194 to bring students an inspiring opportunity to share their perspectives in this year’s Voice of Democracy Essay Competition.

🎙️ 2025 Theme:
“How are you showing patriotism and support for our country?”

This national contest encourages students to reflect on their role as citizens and express their views through writing and speech. It’s a chance to showcase thoughtful patriotism and leadership — and MCHS students are ready to lead the way!

📣 ELA and History Teachers — please promote this opportunity in your classrooms and share the application details.
📣 Parents, Club Sponsors, and Class Advisors — encourage your students to participate and let their voices be heard!


📥 How to Enter:

Students must submit the following:

  • ✅ A completed entry form

  • ✅ A typed essay

  • ✅ A recorded version of their essay saved on a flash drive

📅 Submission Deadline: October 29
