Parent's Month

The Martin County School Board has officially proclaimed October 2025 as Parents Month in Martin County, recognizing the essential role parents and caregivers play in the growth, development, and success of children.

Since 1994, Parents Day has been celebrated nationwide on the fourth Sunday of July to honor the vital contributions of parents. Building upon that foundation, the School Board’s new proclamation expands the celebration to an entire month—acknowledging that the love, guidance, and commitment of parents and caregivers deserve more than a single day of recognition.

“Parents and caregivers provide the foundation of support, wisdom, and unconditional love that helps children reach their full potential,” the proclamation states. “They are vital to strong families and thriving communities.”

The School Board encourages all residents to take time throughout October to honor and appreciate the parents, guardians, and caregivers who make a lasting difference in the lives of children across Martin County.

The proclamation reflects the District’s commitment to celebrating the power of family and community partnerships in education.
