The annual Education Foundation of Martin County's Teacher of the Year Awards Celebration took place on Friday, November 14, 2025 at the MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Events Center in Port St. Lucie. This year's event was once again made possible through the generous support of Audi Stuart, Infiniti Stuart, and Alfa Romero Stuart.
Guests enjoyed an evening filled with elegant decor, lively entertainment, and the shared joy of recognizing the outstanding contributions of educators across our District. The atmosphere reflected the deep appreciation our community holds for those who inspire, challenge, and uplift our students every day.
During the celebration, the Martin County School District and the Education Foundation of Martin County proudly announced the District's 2025-2026 Teacher of the Year: Ms. Chanda Leon, Martin County High School.
Ms. Leon will now go on to represent the Martin County School District in the state competition to become the Florida Department of Education's Teacher of the Year.
Ms. Leon joined the Martin County School District in 2010 and has been a teacher for 24 years.
In addition to honoring the District Teacher of the Year, the celebration recognized in the elementary, middle, and high school categories, as well as the coveted Spirit Award.
