The Martin County School District is pleased to announce the appointment of Kristin Carbone as an Assistant Principal at Martin County High School, pending Board approval.

Ms. Carbone is an enthusiastic and experienced educational leader with more than eight years of administrative experience supporting academic achievement, instructional excellence, and school operations. She most recently served as an Assistant Principal at Murray Middle School, where she partnered closely with school leadership to foster a positive, high-expectations learning environment and build strong relationships with students, staff, families, and community stakeholders.

This appointment marks a return to Martin County High School for Ms. Carbone. Earlier in her career, she served the school community as both a classroom teacher and an assistant principal, developing a strong connection to the campus and its students. Her return brings valuable institutional knowledge and a deep understanding of the school’s culture, programs, and instructional priorities.

Throughout her career, Ms. Carbone has demonstrated strength as an instructional leader, supporting teachers through professional development, supervision, and evaluation while promoting best practices that drive student growth. She has extensive experience in master schedule development, curriculum planning, and standardized testing coordination, as well as mentoring and supporting new teachers.

Ms. Carbone began her career in the Martin County School District as a classroom teacher and later served in district and school leadership roles supporting curriculum, assessment, and student activities. Her broad background provides her with a comprehensive understanding of instructional and operational systems across grade levels.

She holds a Master of Education in Educational Leadership from the American College of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in English from Florida Atlantic University. Ms. Carbone has also completed the National Institute of School Leadership program and holds certifications in Educational Leadership, School Principal, English (6–12), Reading, and ESOL.
