Allison Howard - 2026-2027 MCHS Teacher of the Year

Martin County High School is proud to announce that Allison Howard has been selected as the 2026–2027 Martin County High School Teacher of the Year, following a nomination by her peers. This honor recognizes Ms. Howard’s exceptional dedication to teaching, leadership, and student success.

Ms. Howard is a Career and Technical Education (CTE) teacher in the MCHS Medical Academy, where she is known for delivering high-quality instruction grounded in authentic, real-world learning experiences. Through her work, students are given meaningful opportunities to explore and pursue careers in healthcare—whether by entering the workforce with industry-recognized certifications or continuing their education at the collegiate level.

Under Ms. Howard’s leadership, her programs consistently demonstrate strong student outcomes. Most recently, all 31 students in the Medical Academy earned their Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certification, an outstanding accomplishment that reflects both rigorous instruction and strong student preparation. These results highlight Ms. Howard’s instructional excellence and commitment to maintaining high expectations for every learner.

Beyond her classroom, Ms. Howard plays an integral role in expanding opportunities for students across the campus. She serves as the HOSA advisor, encouraging student leadership and professional growth, and holds key leadership positions as CTE Department Lead and CTE Program Specialist. In these roles, she collaborates with colleagues to strengthen and grow CTE programs throughout Martin County High School.

What most distinguishes Ms. Howard is her unwavering commitment to students. She is dedicated to helping students understand the value of their work, supporting their personal and academic growth, and guiding them toward futures that align with their interests, strengths, and goals.
