On Monday, May 18, members of Martin County School District’s Class of 2026 returned to where their educational journeys began as every elementary school hosted annual Grad Walk celebrations.
Dressed in caps and gowns, graduating seniors walked through the halls of their former elementary schools, reunited with past teachers and staff members, and were cheered on by current students lining the hallways.
The tradition gives seniors an opportunity to reflect on how far they have come while inspiring younger students who hope to one day follow in their footsteps.
Throughout the District, campuses were filled with applause, smiles, hugs, and handmade signs as elementary students celebrated the future graduates.
Grad Walks continue to be one of the most meaningful traditions of graduation season, highlighting the lasting impact educators and staff members have on students throughout their journey in the Martin County School District.
