The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) recently announced its Spring 2026 and Overall Academic Team Champions and the Martin County School District is proud to share that every high school earned a Top Four Overall Academic Team Champion designation, with South Fork High School finishing 1st Overall in Class 5A, while Martin County High School (Class 6A) and Jensen Beach High School (Class 5A) finished 4th in their respective classes.
Jensen Beach High School had three 1st Place Spring Teams (Beach Volleyball, Softball, and Girls Track & Field); South Fork High School had two 1st Place Spring Teams (Flag Football and Boys Tennis), while Martin County High School had every team finish in the Top 10.
The FHSAA Academic Team Champion program celebrates excellence both in competition and in the classroom. This prestigious program recognizes teams across all FHSAA-sanctioned and recognized sports, awarding the title of Academic Team Champion in each classification. To be eligible, a sports team must achieve a minimum unweighted grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. These averages are then evaluated against other schools in the state with similar enrollment sizes, highlighting outstanding academic achievement alongside athletic commitment.
