Martin County High School is excited to welcome the Class of 2030 to campus for Freshman Orientation on Friday, August 7, 2026. This special event is designed to help our newest Tigers become familiar with their new school, meet teachers and staff, and begin their high school journey with confidence.
Orientation will run from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and is open to all incoming ninth-grade students.
What to Expect
Upon arrival, all freshmen should report directly to the Auditorium for a brief welcome presentation from school administration. Students will receive important information about life at MCHS, school expectations, and opportunities to get involved throughout the year.
Following the presentation, students will report to their 1st period class, where they will receive a printed copy of their schedule. Students will then follow their class schedule throughout the remainder of the orientation, allowing them to become familiar with campus locations and classroom routines before the first day of school.
Check Your Schedule Before You Arrive
Student schedules will be available in Focus beginning Thursday, August 6.
Before arriving for orientation, students should log in to Focus and locate:
Their 1st period teacher
Their 1st period classroom number
Having this information ready will help ensure a smooth transition from the auditorium presentation to classrooms.
Transportation Information
Students who are eligible for bus transportation should plan to ride their assigned bus route to and from orientation.
Students being dropped off by a parent or guardian may be dropped off at the front of the school.
Important Reminders
Students are encouraged to:
Follow the district dress code
Adhere to student ID badge protocols
Come prepared to learn, connect, and lead
Need a Student ID?
Students who still need a school ID may remain after orientation to have their photo taken.
Parents and guardians should note that transportation home must be arranged separately for students who stay after dismissal for ID photos.
