Take What You Need Message Board at MCHS

Sometimes, a few thoughtful words at just the right moment can make a difference.

A simple idea created by Maddie Axtell, Class of 2028 President, and a fellow MCHS student has come to life this school year through the new โ€œTake What You Needโ€ boards, designed to bring encouragement, kindness, and positivity to the Tiger Family.

The idea began toward the end of last school year. The students wanted to create something small that might make someoneโ€™s day a little brighter. Although they originally hoped to put the boards up last year, the right opportunity never presented itself.

This year, following a challenging period for the MCHS community, the students felt the time was right. The boards went up with a simple purpose: to offer a little reassurance and bring some positivity back into the school community.

The โ€œTake What You Needโ€ boards feature individual messages of encouragement that can be removed and taken by anyone who needs them.

And they truly are for everyone.

Students, teachers, administrators, custodians, staff members, and others passing through the halls are invited to stop, select a message, and take with them a few positive words they may need that day.

The idea behind the project is beautifully simple. Everyone needs something different, and sometimes a few encouraging words can arrive at exactly the right moment.

Most importantly, the boards serve as a reminder that even during difficult times, there are people at MCHS who care.

We are proud of our Tigers for recognizing an opportunity to support others and transforming a simple idea into a meaningful act of kindness for our entire school community.

Take what you need, Tigers. And always remember, you matter, you are not alone, and your Tiger Family cares. ๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿฏ
