Laura Dervin has been named the MCHS CTE Teacher of the Year! Laura has led our Digital Photography program at MCHS over the last 7 years. Laura’s commitment to student success is demonstrated through her use of engaging instructional practices, by bringing real world experiences into the classroom, and by building positive relationships with her students. She creates an environment that is conducive to learning and creating. Laura’s students are performing at the highest level as some are working for the Martin County School District in paid positions, while others are winning prestigious art awards. Many of Laura’s students have earned industry certifications as well. We greatly appreciate the level of passion and instructional expertise Laura demonstrates on a daily basis. Laura absolutely demonstrates all that is good about the incredible faculty at MCHS!
