Music in Our Schools 50 Years

For five decades, the Martin County School District has brought student musicians together for one unforgettable evening of performance and pride. This year marks a milestone as the District hosts the 50th Annual Music in Our Schools Concert on Thursday, March 26, 2026, at 7 p.m. in the Don Wallen Arena/Gym at Martin County High School.

This long-standing tradition, held in recognition of the National Association for Music Education’s (NAfME) Music in Our Schools Month, reflects this year’s theme: “United Through Music.” For 50 years, the concert has showcased the talent, discipline, and passion of student musicians while honoring the educators who help bring their skills to life.

Featuring performers from every District-operated school, this annual event is one of the most anticipated celebrations of the year—bringing together students from across Martin County to share the stage and highlight the strength of the District’s music programs.

Due to limited seating, tickets will be required for entry. Tickets have already been distributed to school sites, and music teachers will provide them to participating students by the day of the concert. Due to the limited capacity, we will not be able to accommodate families without tickets.

For those unable to attend in person, a video of the performances will be available at a later date.

Parking and Seating Information:

  • Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Ticketed guests are encouraged to arrive early.

  • Overflow parking will be available in the grassy area north of Martin County High School, west of Willoughby Blvd.

  • Once seats are filled, standing room will be available on the second level of the arena.

  • For safety reasons, standing is not permitted on the first floor.

We look forward to welcoming our students, families, and the community for this celebration of music education and student achievement!
