The Martin County School District proudly announced its 2025-2026 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year on October 27, 2025, recognizing two outstanding school leaders for their commitment to excellence and student success.
Palm City Elementary School’s Lauren Rabener was named Principal of the Year, and Jaime Law of Jensen Beach Elementary School was named Assistant Principal of the Year. The surprise announcement was made during a principals’ meeting at the School District Office, where Executive Director of School Improvement & Leadership Lauren Gifford and members of the District’s leadership team delivered the exciting news.
Mrs. Rabener began her career with the Martin County School District in 2008 as a kindergarten teacher at Port Salerno Elementary School. She went on to serve as a literacy coach at Bessey Creek Elementary School before becoming assistant principal at Palm City Elementary in 2017. In 2022, she was named principal of the school, where she continues to foster a culture of academic excellence and community engagement.
Ms. Law joined the District in 2004 as a teacher at J.D. Parker Elementary School, where she taught 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grades. Her dedication to teaching and leadership led her to Jensen Beach Elementary in 2014, where she has served as assistant principal for more than a decade.
“Great schools begin with great leaders,” said Superintendent Michael Maine. “Mrs. Rabener and Ms. Law exemplify the qualities that make Martin County schools exceptional. Their ability to inspire students, empower staff, and connect with families truly sets them apart. We are incredibly proud to have them represent our District at the state level.”
The District will submit both administrators’ names to the Florida Department of Education (FLDOE) for consideration in the Principal Achievement Award for Outstanding Leadership and Outstanding Assistant Principal Achievement Award programs. Statewide winners will be announced in spring 2026.
Congratulations, Mrs. Rabener and Ms. Law!
