Across the Martin County School District, students and staff came together to honor those who have served in the U.S. military during Veterans Day ceremonies.
The ceremonies provided students with a meaningful opportunity to learn about veterans, the history of Veterans Day, and the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by those who serve. Activities included student performances, speeches, placing flags around the campus, and moments of reflection, helping to instill a deeper appreciation for the men and women who have defended the nation.
In recognition of the month-long observance, the Martin County School Board designated November as Veterans Month, encouraging schools to find ways to honor veterans and teach students about their contributions to the community and the country.
These celebrations serve as a reminder of the importance of gratitude, respect, and understanding for those who have served in the armed forces.
