Earth Day

Palm City Elementary has been recognized as a Gold Level Everglades Champion School for the 2025–2026 school year, an honor that highlights the school's commitment to environmental education and stewardship.

The recognition reflects the dedication of Palm City Elementary students, teachers, and staff to learning about and protecting Florida’s unique Everglades ecosystem. Throughout the year, Wildcats participated in a variety of educational activities designed to increase awareness of conservation and environmental responsibility.

A key component of the school's success was the leadership demonstrated by the school's Everglades Student Ambassadors. These student leaders played an active role in planning and leading both the school's Earth Day Celebration and Everglades Field Day, helping educate and inspire their peers.

Another significant achievement was the participation of every classroom in all three Everglades educational lessons offered through the Everglades Champion Schools program. These lessons provided students with valuable opportunities to explore the importance of the Everglades and understand how individual actions can contribute to protecting Florida’s natural resources.

The Gold Level designation recognizes schools that go above and beyond in implementing environmental education initiatives and fostering a culture of conservation. Palm City Elementary's schoolwide commitment to learning, leadership, and environmental stewardship helped earn this prestigious recognition.

Palm City Elementary is proud of its Wildcats for their hard work and enthusiasm and extends its appreciation to the students, teachers, staff, and families who supported these meaningful learning experiences. Together, they have demonstrated that even the youngest learners can make a positive impact on the environment and help protect one of Florida's most valuable natural treasures.
