Over the summer, several Martin County School District Assistant Principals enhanced their leadership skills during the Aspiring Principals Academy.

The Professional Development two-week intensive was fully funded through a grant from the Mary and Robert Pew Public Education Fund.

The purpose of the training is to help these assistant principals understand what a principal needs to be an effective leader in Martin County.

The academy was also beneficial in strengthening their leadership skills for their current roles. By creating a 'change plan,' they were able to identify any achievement gaps at their schools and set a course of action to ensure all students succeed.
