The Pinewood Elementary School is proud to share that Melora Norman is joining the Panther family after the Martin County School Board approved her appointment as Principal during its meeting on June 16, 2026.
A Martin County native and district alumna, Ms. Norman began her career in education at Pinewood Elementary, where she spent several years building strong academic foundations for students and fostering a love of learning.
Ms. Norman later transitioned into school leadership, serving as Assistant Principal and then Principal at Indiantown Middle School. In those roles, she continued her commitment to student achievement, instructional excellence and fostering positive school cultures.
Her experience as a middle school administrator provides a unique and valuable perspective, guiding her work to ensure elementary students are equipped with the skills, confidence and readiness needed for a successful transition to middle school.
Ms. Norman will officially assume her role as Principal of Pinewood Elementary School on July 1, 2026. Welcome to the Panther family, Ms. Norman!
